Wednesday 5th July 2006
The evening of 5 July was sunny and cloudless for WLT’s Rose Garden Reception, taking place at one of the finest examples of a small Tudor hall in Suffolk, set within spectacular moated gardens.
The Rose Garden was indeed a breathtaking sight. An invited group of East Anglian supporters were able to meet with WLT Trustees, Council members and staff and also overseas visitors who included Byron Swift and Richard Moore from World Land Trust-US (formerly World Parks), USA, who had come over to discuss the alliance with WLT, Jerry Bertrand, WLT’s Honorary President, also from the United States and Juan Francisco Facetti, a board member of Guyra Paraguay (WLT’s Paraguayan partners) and former Minister of Environment in Paraguay.
We thank Prince and Princess Andrew von Preussen who kindly made this beautiful venue available for the occasion.
