The World Land Trust (WLT) Christmas card design for 2002 has been donated by wildlife artist Greg Poole.

John Burton, the CEO of the WLT said “/Ever since I bought one of Greg Poole’s large prints (of hares and partridge) several years ago, I had always hoped we could use one for a Christmas card. The one we have chosen is of a Capercaillie – we thought it was appropriate as it is a large turkey like bird. It also has a conservation story – it became extinct in Scotland during the 19th century, and was successfully reintroduced, but is once again in serious decline/”.
